Ian Hensley, undergraduate research assistant, received the 2025 AISC (American Institute of Steel Construction) Student Travel Grant to attend the NASCC: The Steel Conference in Louisville, Kentucky. This award gave Ian the opportunity to attend the conference where he explored cutting-edge steel innovations, networked with industry leaders, and showcased his research.

Each year, a select number of students are chosen for an immersive experience at NASCC: The Steel Conference, the premier event for everyone involved in the design and construction of steel buildings and bridges.
