Professor Jose Capa Salinas participated and presented at the NSF-funded NHERI-NIED/E-Defense Research Collaboration Meeting in Miki City, Japan. This is the 1st Research Collaboration meeting in this new phase of partnership between researchers from NHERI (U.S.) and NIED (Japan).

Dr. Capa Salinas presented on behalf of the U.S. delegation on "Simulation to support monitoring & post-disaster decision making." Leading researchers from both countries, as well as representatives from NSF and NHERI in the U.S. and NIED and E-Defense in Japan attended the collaboration meeting.

This participation was possible thanks to a travel grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) through the NHERI Network Coordination Office (NCO).
